About the camp
Set on Veľkolélskeho ostrov, the largest river island on the Slovak stretch of the Danube, Ekofarma Ostrov combines camping with environmental education. The site lies within the protected Dunajské luhy area where herds of cattle and hucul horses graze on flowering meadows. Four animal-themed wooden cabins (Bobor, Bocian, Korytnačka, Kôň) each sleep two and come equipped with beds, storage furniture, terrace seating, a fan, and WiFi. A caravan pitch offers drinking water, electricity, and a waste drain. The tent area has 60 spots along the international Eurovelo 6 cycle route. Sanitary facilities include toilets and showers. Guests can enjoy horse riding, birdwatching, boat trips, campfires, and an interactive biotope exhibition.
