About the camp
An original yurt built in Mongolia - wooden lattice frame, felt insulation and painted support poles in the traditional style, with only the outer canvas resewn for the European climate. It stands in a garden behind the owners' own house, below the Western Tatras, with a view of Kriváň through glass doors and the Belá river nearby. Inside: a fold-out double bed, two fold-out armchair beds, a small kitchenette, tea and coffee, and a central gas fireplace. There is no bathroom - a dry outdoor toilet and a small shower sit behind the yurt. Outside are a fire pit and a barrel sauna. Two friends who fell for yurts while travelling in Mongolia run it as a circular-energy retreat rather than a conventional campsite.
