A small, peaceful campsite on a gently sloping grassland in southern Slovakia, on the Ipel river forming the border with Hungary. Run by Fred and Esther since 2023, it offers about 15 spacious pitches with panoramic views.

About the camp

Camping Moongarden is a kleinschalige camping in the hilly south of Slovakia, set on a gently sloping grass field with wide panoramic views towards the Ipel river and the Hungarian border. Fred and Esther traded their camper for the camp in April 2023 after years of travelling Europe, and aim to give guests the experience they learned to value on the road. The site has a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a shower and toilet building, a central fire pit, and a traditional wood oven available by arrangement. There are roughly 15 roomy pitches. An apartment for two and a holiday house for four are also rented. Day trips to Budapest, Banska Stiavnica and Eger are popular, as are hiking, fishing and cycling.
