Cabin Pod Lipou

North House runs two hand-built treehouse cabins - Pod Lipou and Pod Dubom - raised into a linden and an oak on a wooded hillside above Revišné, part of Veličná in the Orava region of northern Slovakia. Guests are driven the final stretch by off-road vehicle, and a breakfast basket is hoisted up by rope each morning.

About the camp

Each cabin sleeps up to 4 in a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed below, with electric light, a small wood stove, board games, a covered terrace and a dry ecological toilet - but no shower and no way to cook hot food. Pod Lipou, built first, has a living green roof and is insulated for year-round use; Pod Dubom is newer, built beside an old oak with the same layout and prices. A breakfast basket and a welcome bottle of sparkling wine come with every night. Horse riding starts right at the door, and the Orava hills nearby offer walking, Orava Castle, Kubínska hoľa's skiing and zipline, and the Dolný Kubín aquapark.
