About the camp
The spot sits beside the jachthaven (marina) in Meppel and is offered by the municipal harbour office alongside its boat moorings. There is no way to book ahead: motorhome travellers simply take the spot if it is free. The overnight fee is paid at the harbour office during its opening hours, or, when no harbourmaster is present, through a self-service envelope system -- travellers note their arrival date, departure date and licence plate, seal the fee in an envelope and post it through the office's letterbox. The office publishes set hours it aims to be staffed (weekday mornings and afternoons, Saturday early afternoon), though staff are often around the harbour outside those times too.
- right next to Meppel's marina (jachthaven)
- no reservations – just take a free spot
- self-service envelope payment when the harbour office is unstaffed
