Camping 't Nije Hof is a small, ANWB-recognised campsite in Stadskanaal, right on the border of the Drenthe and Groningen provinces, built around a 2,600 m2 natural spring-fed swimming and fishing pond. It is the home base of the Northern Fires Outdoor Food Festival and is known as one of the Netherlands' barbecue-focused campsites.

About the camp
Set in the greenery on the Drenthe-Groningen border, 't Nije Hof offers spacious, tree-shaded pitches that feel like camping in the woods, plus a few pitches right on its own spring-fed swimming and fishing pond, with pedalo boats (including a giant swan) free to use. The site is home base of the Northern Fires Outdoor Food Festival and hosts BBQ and outdoor-cooking events, known as one of the Netherlands' barbecue campsites. Stadskanaal's town centre is about a 750 m walk away, and the Knoesterbos forest borders the grounds. No reservation is required -- guests may just turn up, though calling ahead in busy periods is recommended. ACSI- and ANWB-inspected, with several Zoover Awards.
