About the camp
Camping Zuiderhorn is a family-run campsite in Warffum, in the Het Hogeland municipality of Groningen province near the Wadden Sea coast. Alongside standard pitches for tents, folding caravans, caravans and motorhomes, and a separate hiker/cyclist tent pitch, it offers an unusually wide range of rental accommodation: the Trekkershut and Trekkershuis hiker's huts (the larger sleeping 12-14), Blokhut and Blokstee log cabins, the small Kampeervat 'camping barrel', the tiny Pipokeet, and the Strandhuisje beach house. The site has a playground and communal space, canoe/kayak rental and a tennis facility, and runs dedicated arrangements for school camps and Wadden-beach outings.
