About the camp
De Akker is a small caravan park where camping and boating share the same ground and the same rate list: pitches for a tent, caravan or camper sit next to boat boxes, summer and winter dry storage, and an overnight mooring for a camper's own boat. Every pitch price already covers two people, and a separate cheap 'trekkerstentje' rate takes a walk-in tent for at most two people with no car, so cyclists and hikers are explicitly welcome. Campers stand on hardstanding. The night is priced per etmaal: arrive after 16:00, leave before 12:00, and the fee is paid on arrival. Showers take a token, the first car parks free, children under three stay free and pets come by arrangement. The park points guests to the Zaanstreek: the Zaans Museum, Poelboerderij and Nationaal Landschap Laag Holland.
