De Koevoet is a small family campsite directly on the water at the Koevordermeer, in the Frisian Lakes near Teroele, run from a traditional Frisian farmhouse. It keeps the camping deliberately small: 15 tent pitches on the lakeside meadow and 15 caravan and camper pitches on the field by the marina.

About the camp
Hidden in the Frisian Lakes, De Koevoet is a family campsite and recreation estate built around a koprompboerderij, a Frisian head-rounder farmhouse, on the shore of the Koevordermeer. The owners pitch for quiet above all: cars are left on a central car park so the fields stay traffic-free, and only 15 tents go onto the meadow right at the water while 15 caravans and campers take the field next to the marina. Camping shares the grounds with a marina, a harbour café, holiday apartments and boat rental, so a stay can combine a pitch with a boat. The site also takes passing travellers and overnight visitors of guests. It is a working hospitality estate rather than a field with a tap: coffee and lunch on the terrace, a reception stocked with books and games, and a swimming spot for a refreshing dip.
