About the camp
Hoeve Kootwijk sells quiet rather than entertainment: the camp describes itself as a place that stands for rest and cleanliness. Every pitch is roomy, paved in front for the awning, and has its own water and electricity connection; most also have private sanitary facilities, except the self-sufficient places. The camp belongs to a farm with its own apiary, Imkerij De Valksche Bijenhof, so guests camp with the beekeeper and can order bees and honey from the shop. The owners stress flexibility: if a short stay grows into a long one, they hand over the cheaper long-stay price, with retroactive effect over the nights already spent. Season places from April to September are limited and only in mutual agreement. Dogs and other pets are allowed for a nightly fee.
