About the camp
An island of sand and sea: the club's ground sits in the dunes of Texel and keeps its character as a quiet pocket of grass fields, separated by dunes and hedges of shrubs and trees. That undergrowth also gives reasonable shelter from the wind, which on Texel can make itself felt. The beach lies half an hour's walk or ten minutes by bike to the west, the De Slufter nature reserve in Nationaal Park Duinen van Texel about the same distance to the south, and the island's red lighthouse about the same to the north. The whole island is one large walking and cycling area, also with children, and the club lists trips to Ecomare, De Marel and Museum Kaap Skil.
