About the camp
Schouteveld asks its guests to unload and recharge: come to rest, land and breathe, together with nature. The camp sits in the woods, with songbirds, squirrels and roe deer at the pitch, and the pitches are roomy - there is space for everyone, young and old, small and large. Evenings gather around the campfire; fire bowls and wood come from Henk & Jolanda, always following the official nature fire-risk advice. The site is kept deliberately low-radiation: one central wifi point by the reception hut, with fixed internet connections planned for the tea garden. Dogs are welcome on a leash. Besides recreation the ground doubles as an oefengrond, a place for co-creation and meeting. It is a digital detox, so a reply can take a few days.

In the middle of the woodland between the Ulvenhoutse and Chaamse forests, at the edge of Gilze. A terrace, supermarket and ice cream place are a short bike ride away. From the A58 take exit 13 (Bavel), then the Gilzeweg, Woestenbergseweg and Royaaldreef; the last stretch is a cycle avenue and the camp sign comes after 2 km - navigation tries to turn into the forest path instead.
