About the camp

Set in a wooded valley at the edge of the Strážovské vrchy protected landscape area, Chata Žiar runs a small campsite alongside five rental cottages that sleep up to 60 guests total. The camping area accepts tents, caravans and motorhomes on a pay-per-night basis with shared sanitary facilities. The site is best known for its organised activity programme: a rope course, archery, bungee running, airsoft, body zorbing and sports pitches make it a popular base for school trips, sports camps and family stays. Meals are available as half-board or full-board pension, and in the off-season (early January to end of April, early November to late December) breakfast buffet is included in cottage stays.
