About the camp

Penzión Štefánik runs a guesthouse, restaurant and a large tent-and-caravan campground on the edge of Súľov-Hradná, right beside the Súľovské skaly rock formations in the Bytča district. The campground's extensive grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes are described as suiting hikers, climbers, cyclists, caravanners and families wanting to get closer to nature. The surrounding area draws hikers and rock climbers: the Súľovské skaly crags carry more than 250 climbing routes, and marked trails lead to the Súľovský hrad castle ruins, the Hlbocký waterfall and the Žibrid peak, alongside several graded cycling routes. The on-site restaurant seats 40 (30 more on its summer terrace) and serves mostly Slovak cuisine. The camp is open from 1 April to 31 October; reservations are needed only for larger groups and are taken by phone.
