A family-run campsite and guesthouse in Malý Lipník in the Poprad river valley, north-east Slovakia. Set in a historic former financial-guard building, it offers a 7 000 m² camping area, rooms and apartments, a bar-restaurant, and direct access to the Velo 11 cycle route.
About the camp
Chata u Financa sits beside the Poprad river in a quiet village at the foot of the Belianske Tatry. The camping grounds are flat and grassy with shaded spots; tents, campers and caravans are welcome, and electricity can be arranged on request. A shared kitchen with fridge and freezer is available, along with two covered outdoor cooking areas with grills. The bar serves Slovak meals, coffee and refreshments including Gambrinus on tap. Indoors, six numbered rooms and two apartments (3+2 and 4+3) provide 37 beds in total, each apartment with its own bathroom. Sport facilities include two tennis courts, a basketball hoop, a football pitch, volleyball and a children's playground. The Poprad river is suitable for canoeing and kayaking; fishing is possible. In winter, a small skiing hill is nearby. The owners are consistently praised in reviews for their hospitality.
